The Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Arrives at the Olympic Museum Thanks to the Collaboration with the Barcelona Olympic Foundation

The Paris 2024 Olympic torch has arrived at the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum, thanks to the collaboration between the Barcelona Olympic Foundation and the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee and the IOC. This iconic torch, designed by Mathieu Lehanneur as a symbol of the Olympic spirit, will be on display until March 2025 as part of the special exhibition “Paris 2024 Games Wide Open.”
Starting in March 2025, the torch will become part of the Museum’s permanent collection, alongside the Paris 2024 Olympic medals, designed and created by LVMH, with the artistry of the Chaumet maison. These gold, silver, and bronze medals each incorporate a piece of iron from the Eiffel Tower, cut in the shape of a hexagon, as a tribute to France and its heritage. This immersive exhibition allow attendees to explore the cultural and athletic values that define the upcoming Olympic Games, bringing them closer to the spirit of Paris 2024.
We invite you to visit the Olympic Museum to enjoy this unique exhibition and connect with the world of Olympism through these iconic pieces that link Barcelona to the Olympic spirit of Paris.
