The Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum has received the certificate confirming its membership of the 2016 Voluntary Agreements Programme

The programme of voluntary agreements for reducing emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) is a tool promoted by the Catalan Climate Change Office (OCCC) for those seeking a voluntary commitment to reduce their GHG emissions beyond the regulatory requirements.

Through an agreement, organisations, bodies and groups that join the programme undertake to monitor their GHG omissions and establish measures every year to reduce those emissions.

The Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum has implemented various measures in 2016 to reduce emissions (improving control of HVAC, replacing lighting) and has new measures planned for 2017.

The Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum, a pioneering institution in Europe with a historical, ethical, recreational and educational orientation, presents a comprehensive view of sport in all its disciplines and varieties in an interactive space equipped with advanced technology applied to all areas.
