Icària, the boat that carried the Olympic torch over the Mediterranean.

The 1992 Barcelona Olympic flame reached Empúries over the Mediterranean Sea. Young Mariana Aguilera was entrusted to carry the flame to the Catalan coast on board the Icària.

In October 2010 the Far Consortium gave the boat to the Barcelona Olympic Foundation. While the Olympic Museum was being re-modelled, and after an agreement with the Barcelona Maritime Museum, Icària has been temporarily transferred to storage in the maritime centre in order to prevent damage.
