Javier del Arco was able to convert his passion into his profession, and in time became one of the leading names in motor journalism in Spain.
He was a member of the Fédération Internationale du Sport Automobile (FISA) and in 1973 became the first Spanish journalist to be admitted into the International Racing Press Association (IRPA).
