Objects, documents, publications, dossiers and audiovisual material linked to the world of sport and/or the city of Barcelona.
The Olympic Museum boasts a range of materials managed by the Barcelona Olympic Foundation. The aim of this collection is to make these items available to users in order to promote and support research projects, debates, group discussions, publications and general activities.
The books and documents can only be consulted within the facilities of the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic Studies Centre.
Enric Truñó
Enric Truñó was Sports Councillor at the City Council of Barcelona between 1981 and 1995 and, as such, was the lead municipal official in the field of sport throughout the city’s entire organisational process for Barcelona’92.
Rubén Peris
Rubén Peris was head of the cycling event at Barcelona’92. He later collaborated with the Spanish team, who have competed in world championships and the Olympic Games.

Barcelona’92
The Barcelona’92 collection looks at all the relevant documentation connected with the candidacy bid, development and closing ceremony of the Barcelona Olympic Games. This collection also includes 6,000 photographs, an audiovisual archive of over than 1,000 hours, and unique items from the Games. J.A. Samaranch
