The BCN Sports FilmFestival has already begun. Maite Fandos, the president of “Fundació Barcelona Olímpica” has been the responsible to present the international sport film and television festival in Barcelona
The opening ceremony was attended by characters from the sport sector, politics and cinema. They could enjoy a short preview of the schedule. This schedule will be in the two official venues -Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch and Sala Àmbit Cultural of El Corte Inglés – Portal de l’Angel -, until Saturday. 72 audiovisual related to sport. Perspectives of Avelino Pi

Jordi Pujol was the guest of honour at the formal opening of the exhibition “Memories of Miquel Poblet” at the Olympic Museum.
Maite Fandos, President of the Barcelona Olympic Foundation; Ivan Tibau, Secretary-General for Sport; Josep Bochaca, President of the Catalan Cycling Federation; María Elena Pérez, Mayor of Montcada i Reixac and Josep Sahún, President of the Sprint Club and promoter of the exhibition and the tributes to Miquel Poblet, were given the task of contextualising the history and perspective of the years when Miquel Poblet was one of the leading sprinters in world cycling, and a key figure in the sport in Catalonia.
Xavier Trias, Mayor of Barcelona, acknowledged Josep Lluís Vilaseca and Romà Cuyàs, members of the Barcelona Olympic Foundation Board with the Gold Medal for sports merit from the City of Barcelona for their contribution to the “collective success” of the 92 Olympic Games.
The Mayor of Tarragona, Josep Félix Ballesteros, was awarded the Esport i Ciutadania 2017 award for promoting the Mediterranean Games.
The Barcelona Olympic Foundation has presented the exhibit “The Faces of Success” in the TMB Mercè Hall.
Presentation of the New Barcino Baseball and Softball Club
The Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sport Museum was the setting chosen for the presentation of the Barcino Baseball and Softball Club.
Alejandro Blanco, Chairman of the Spanish Olympic Committee, took advantage of his visit to the Joan Antoni Samarach Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport (Olympics and Sports Museum) to meet with the Catalan members of the committee.
