Following the visits of various delegations from Japan last year, the Consul, Naohito Watanabe, wanted to get to know the Barcelona Olympic Foundation personally and was interested in the activities and services it offers.

Brad Baker, the American professional Flat Track rider, donates all his gear to the Olympic Museum

Baker has donated all the riding equipment in which he competed this Saturday at the Palau Sant Jordi. Baker came third behind Elías and Marc Márquez, who took the title, showing clear superiority.

Li Xiao and Sun Wen, members of the Chinese synchronised swimming team, visited the Museum together with their coach Mayuko Fujiki, making an obligatory stop at the synchronised swimming area, where some of the most notable costumes of the medallists in the Spanish team are on display.

16 pupils from the 36th General Training Course on Sports Science for Coaches visit the Olympic Museum

This 36th training course for coaches has been developed through the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Solidarity programme and organised by the High Performance Centre at Sant Cugat, in collaboration with the Catalan National Physical Education Institute, INEFC, in Barcelona.

 

INDESCAT presents the 4th Business and Sport Awards for Innovation, Internationalisation and Partnership

The Catalan sports industry cluster INDESCAT has presented the 2016 awards to the three most outstanding projects in the sports sector. The ceremony was attended by David Escudé, Barcelona City Council Sports Commissioner, Jordi Baiget, regional minister for Business and Knowledge in the Catalan Autonomous Government, Gerard Figueras, Secretary General for Sport, Gerard Esteva, President of the Sports Federation Union of Catalonia, and Anna Pruna, President of INDESCAT, among other dignitaries.
