Between 1979 and 1986 Barcelona City Council spearheaded the vital task of democratising sport, with series of measures that are still very much in evidence all over the city today.
18 entries go to the final round of the 9th edition of the Barcelona Olympic Foundation International Art on Paper Award
In this 9th Edition, the jury has valuated 50 entries of authors from 8 different nationalities, amongst which entries from Latin America are highlighted: Argentina, Colombia and Cuba.
Solidary Christmas
The aim of the project Solidary Christmas is link sports organizations of Barcelona and centers responsible for watching disadvantaged groups of the La Marina neighborhood. It is focus on the last trimester of the year, when the different organizations will be able to contribute material that will be exhibit from mid-November to the 15th of December in a special room of the museum.

The Closing Ceremony of the BCN Sports Film Festival’s 9th Edition, celebrated in the Olympic and Sports Museum Joan Antoni Samaranch, has been the rallying point between the world of cinema, sports, politics and society.
Soohorang and Bandabi, the Winter Olympics mascots, are now in the Olympic Museum
The Olympic and Paralympic mascots arrived directly from South Korea. Thanks are due to the Organising Committee of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games for donating the official mascots to the Barcelona Olympic Foundation.
