Presentation of the book written by Valentí Fradera, titled “Barcelona, Paco Godia and Motor Sports”, a work that explores Barcelona’s deep connection with motor sports. Barcelona stands out as the only city in the world that has hosted the Formula 1 World Championship on two urban circuits: Pedralbes and Montjuïc. This tradition, which continues today at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, is the result of a history rich in automotive culture, industrial effort, and the work of numerous individuals and organizations.
At the center of this story is Paco Godia, a Spanish Formula 1 pioneer who raced at Pedralbes and won at Montjuïc, leaving an indelible mark on Barcelona’s motor racing history. Fradera’s book pays tribute to this legacy, documenting the evolution of circuit competitions in the city and their historical context.
